Short Biography

Dr. Ahmad Humayan Kabir has been working as a faculty staff at the Department of Botany, Rajshahi University since 2012. Dr. Kabir passed Secondary and Higher Secondary education securing first division from Rajshahi University School. Dr. Kabir completed his BSc (Hons.) and MSc (Thesis) in Botany from the University of Rajshahi securing first class.

Afterward, he completed another MSc in Molecular Biology in 2009 with distinction from the University of Skövde, Sweden. Then he successfully completed his PhD in Molecular Plant Physiology from Flinders University, Australia in 2012. Dr. Kabir received Swedish Institute Guest Scholarship and German DAAD Scholarship for post-doctoral research at Stockholm University and Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg in 2014 and 2018. Dr. Kabir has been awarded BAS-TWAS Young Scientists Prize-2017, UGC Award – 2015 and 2016 in recognition of research achievements. He has published more than 50 research articles in reputed international journals affiliated with world’s renowned publishers, such as Nature Publishing, Elsevier, Springer and Frontiers.
