Short Biography

Dr. KHM Nazmul Hussain Nazir has been a faculty member at the Department of Microbiology and Hygiene, under the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Bangladesh Agricultural University, since 2004. Dr. Nazir completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh. Upon graduation, he did a post-graduate diploma in Microbiology and Biotechnology from Osaka University, Japan.

Then, he took his Ph.D. degree from Kyushu University, Japan. He worked as a Foreign Research Professor at Yeungnam University, South Korea. Currently, Dr. Nazir is working as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Advanced Veterinary and Animal Research, a Scopus-, ESCI-, and PubMed-indexed international journal. So far, he has published more than 90 papers in national and international journals. He is acting as the General Secretary of the Bangladesh Society for Safe Food. He is also the founder of the Network for the Veterinarians of Bangladesh (BDvetNET), a network for veterinarians of Bangladesh who are working at home and abroad. He is an expert pool member of the FAO for diagnosing COVID-19 in Bangladesh.
