Short Biography
As an early career researcher, my vision revolves around developing a distinct niche to guide my research trajectory towards becoming a future leader in field of Computational Biology and multi-omics driven Systems Cell-Signaling. I persued my MSc thesis at Imperial College London in 2010. At Imperial, I worked on the global proteome alteration between young and aged fibroblast cells by using the quantitative SILAC technique.
I started my Ph.D. at at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), Heidelberg in 2012 where I was involved in a diverse set of projects involving LC-MS/MS, microarray, and RNA-seq as the central techniques to generate quantitative data. One of my major contributions was to develop a quantitative proteomics pipeline called “time-collapsed Super-SILAC” to quantify proteome dynamically. My Ph.D. project reports on the fundamental mechanisms by which cells decide their fates in response to external stimuli through proteome adaptations (Accepted in Cell Reprots, 2022). In another project, I analyzed the proteome changes in hematopoietic cells from the murine and human bone marrow (Mol Syst Biol. 2017) and murine liver cell-lines (PLoS Pathog. 2020). After finishing my Ph.D., I joined as a research associate at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, and established a strong collaboration with Dr. Geoffroy Andrieux at the Institute of Medical Bioinformatics and Systems Medicine, University of Freiburg, Germany.
